About Us

        In the year 1960 some Eminent Lawyers of Khandwa decided to start a law college at Khandwa. After noticing a big problem that,Khandwa students who passed out their graduation courses, they went to Indore, Nagpur and other cities where law colleges were exist.

    However, those students whose financial condition were not so good they were not able to pursue the degree of law. After noticing such problem, that so many students who were facing difficulties in pursuing the law degree, the senior most advocate 'Late Shri Radhakrishna Gupta' & some more respectable lawyers of Khandwa Bar association jointly took a big step and decide to started the law college in Khandwa. The 15 deserving lawyers of district bar association of Khandwa had decided to establish the law college in Khandwa. After a hard work in 1960 the first law College was established in Khandwa district &Nimar.

     When, this Law College was established in the year 1960, It was the matter of proud, that this college was established on the 100th birthday and centenary year of 'Advocate Pandit Motilal Nehru'. To remember his memory in our heart our college's name was kept 'Motilal Nehru Law College.'

    In the same year, Madhya Pradesh Government has given a land for our college. Khandwa district's devoted peoples from different firms and society's & founder members of 'The Law Education Society Khandwa' contributed economically supported to build our college building. 'Madhya Pradesh Government and Dr. Harisingh Gour University, Sagar' had given the recognition & affiliation to our college. Founder members hard work provides the free teaching facility to our college students.

    In the year 1995, State Government has changed the affiliation and the result of that our college was affiliated with 'Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya indore'. In the field of legal education 'Bar Council of India, New Delhi' has amended in the advocate's act & improves the standard of education. Our college's Affiliation is approved from the 'Bar Council of India, New Delhi'.
